When does the razr 60 stop getting updates?

02 What the dates mean

Feature updates are new versions of Android and the maker’s software on top of it. Security updates are fixes for newly found flaws, issued without new features, and they continue after feature updates stop. A phone past its security date still works; it stops being patched. The dates above are the maker’s published window as recorded by the source linked, not a prediction of when updates will actually stop.

03What Motorola actually committed to

Motorola's security-update page for the razr 60 says "Security updates will stop on June, 2029", recorded as the last day of June 2029, with at least bi-monthly security updates until then. It states no OS-upgrade end date. The page is Motorola's US support site; the UK support site returned 403 when read on 2026-09-22.

04 OS upgrades versus security updates

OS upgrades bring new Android versions and features. Security updates are patches for newly found flaws, and they can outlast the upgrades.

Motorola publishes only the security date, 2029-06-30. It states no end date for new versions, so this page cannot say which ends first and does not guess.

• Security patches run for another 32 months (2 years 8 months), to 2029-06-30.

05 What stops working first

• Motorola states no end date for new versions, so none is shown here.
• From 2029-06-30: no more security patches from Motorola. The phone keeps working; it stops being patched.

06 Today

The razr 60 shipped with Android 15; this site holds no record of the newest version it runs. Inside its security window: patches are committed to 2029-06-30, 32 months (2 years 8 months) from 2026-10-18.

07 What to do with that

Nothing about the razr 60 forces a move today. The row-by-row case for or against replacing it, with what it fetches used, is on Should I upgrade my razr 60?; the full sheet is on the razr 60 page. Every phone’s version of this page is listed at All update timelines.
